China has good breaks but expect to surf alone. I surfed in Laoshan (Tsingtao) in February a few years ago. Water was muddy and there was no-one in-sight. The beach break was firing though, barrel after barrel. It lasted 2hours and that's about as much surf that break must've offered that year.
