Got a question. My wife and I are planning on taking a trip to Costa Rica next winter. My question is, do you think this is a good idea? I have only been surfing for about two years, will I be getting in over my head? Any help would be appreciated.

I have been researching on the web about Costa. Says the best time to go is the "wet" season. Would that be winter for us? thanks again...
Rainy season is USA summer. Go to beachbreaks where you can find a peak to yourself. Watch the rips and don't go out on the huge days and you will be fine. Most beaches are safe for the wife (stay on the Pacific side) and have her stay where the crowd is.
Cool, thanks for all the info. In reality, this will probably be a couple of years down the line. Just recently married, so finance comes into play.
