So, color on a board - tinted resin vs spray. Do you do it and do you see adverse results (adding weight or denting) from the paint or resin

I always ask for opague resin tint. Dont want anything interfering with the resin/ foam bond. I'm probably way off base, but its for my peace of mind, and I think the opague tints look good

I have both and don't think it makes a difference in the way you are asking. If anything, it makes it easier to spot any thin spots in the glassing since the weave stands out against the color. I tend to hang onto boards I like for years, so a nice subtle color (pale blue or green) keeps the boards from looking yellow (especially the epoxies/XTRs).

Totally worth the extra 20 bucks for a spray job. Keeps the boards from looking beat up yellow from age and the weight you won't notice.

Also helps people spot you with a colored board from the beach for photos.
