Sure you can find something similar from a dive shop in the US
to be fair they look less weird when you’re wearing them but yes, they will keep you hands clean in all manner of dirty jobs!
I second the 7mm drylocks. Even on our coldest days my hands havent been cold in them. 5mm boots/mitts are doable but will limit your water time....
If you want my 7MM mitts that are barely used i'll sell for cheap. I live in CA so have no use for them anymore. Vissla North Seas 7MM mittens
My 7mm drylock boots are shot, really hard to find any new ones right now so I bought the 8mm solite booties - havent gotten to use them yet, they are a bit odd we will see how well they work.

split toe boots and lobster claws make no sense for me in the cold, just end up with cold big toes and index fingers....
watching someone in cardiff with a hood on and no gloves or boots hurts my brainI am surprised this thread as gone this far and not one SD dawn patrol has shared a opinion
If they are old they get a pass due to ear issues.
