It really boils my p1ss the way they throw around the word “patriot”

I’m willing to bet none of them took an oath to defend the country. Even immigrants like myself have to swear same as the military when becoming citizens.

I take that seriously and when term gets flung around to raise money, it’s insulting

edit : and don’t forget corporal Bone Spurs refused to enlist…. Some “patriot” he is

FYI here’s the oath of allegiance:

I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.

I like loosing money....I'll take that bet, Tio!
The only bet I’d make is on jail time. Nothing else really matters. Fine him? Probation and community service? Won’t matter.

Won’t happen.

I don't think he'll do jail time, just a felony conviction. His cult will still vote for him, though.

I would love to see him do the perp walk and have a picture of him being escorted by marshals with his wrists covered by a jacket. Every one of his political opponents should run that photo hourly for the rest of his life, with the caption "criminal" in 36 point font underneath. Just ruin him politically.

SurfDog would disagree...
Yeah? Well he’d be wrong.

The goalposts are set at conviction of a felony offense and a jumpsuit. Anything less is wasted time and money. How much do you think has been spent so far trying to get him on something?

WIll Donald Trump be indicted before the 2024 election? According to sportsbooks, it seems likely.

Right now, the odds that Donald Trump is indicted before the election sit at -250. That means he's a bigger favorite to be indicted than France is to beat Morocco in regulation at the World Cup Semifinals. At -250, Trump's implied chance of being indicted before the election is 71.4%.

As for the chance that Donald Trump isn't indicted, well those odds currently sit at +170 and imply a 37% chance.
Wanna bet? :dancing:

He will have to take the stand. The defendant cant introduce evidence outside of the court ( change his story) without taking the stand , only the prosecution can.

Can you imagine him on the defensive stand, in any case? What a nightmare….

A Trump loyalist turned adversary, Cohen is likely to provide critical details about whatever involvement the Republican presidential candidate may have had in the payments made during the 2016 campaign to two women who alleged affairs or sexual encounters with him.

“My goal is to tell the truth,” Cohen told reporters outside the courthouse, dismissing a suggestion that he might be motivated by a desire to see Trump behind bars.

“This is not revenge," he said. "This is all about accountability. He needs to be held accountable for his dirty deeds.”

Cohen has given prosecutors evidence, including voice recordings of conversations he had with a lawyer for one of the women, as well as emails and text messages. He also has recordings of a conversation in which he and Trump spoke about an arrangement to pay the other woman through the supermarket tabloid the National Enquirer.
