That is sick

Is there a delam risk with the carbon? Any venting in the design?
Not any that I've heard of, although leaving it out cooking in direct HOT sunlight
probably isn't ideal. No vents. I have a tail pad on and wax on the rest of the deck.
If there's any issue with wax I may try front traction but doubt it'll be a concern
if I'm not dumb about how I treat it. Dudebro took one to Indo without issue.

Swordfish redo?
Rad board J! Is it Swordfishy or more along the lines of DK’s version of a Speed Dialer? Either way, looks like a good time. Love the LokBoxes. Did you have the fins already or were you able to buy them somewhere?
Yo! This is his Double bump Canard Quad, his version of the Speed Dialer.
Was fortunate to grab the set of turbo canards from Senor Dudebro. It's all I ran
in the original and likely all I'll run in this one.

That’s the coolest looking board.

Proven designs plus top build...why isn’t this the norm? No need to answer.

Stealth.

Finally got this beauty wet this morning in pretty good chest-hh+ waves with light offshores.
The thing is a GOOD time. Paddles well, catches waves well, nice and responsive, and very fast.
I got a handful of really fun overhead lefts that were just runners and got some high-line speed runs
to make sections that looked like they'd shut me down. Not too many turns, but it does feel nimble
and comes around quickly. Construction feels great, shape feels great...I'm stoked. Will need to tinker
with fin position a bit, as I expected, but once that's dialed I'm golden. Thanks, DJ and Justin! :wave2:

Have you ever surfed DK's Swordfish? If so, how do the two compare?

My Swordfish is one of my all time favorite boards, but is pretty beat up now, and I need a replacement.

Yes, I've owned 2 Swordfish at various times. Super fun boards. I believe DJ designed the Swordfish as a
more HP version of the Dialer, that's more capable of going top-to-bottom and doing more snappy turns.
I'd say that's pretty accurate, although I never ran Turbo Canard fins in them so that would factor into it as well,
I'm sure. IMO, the Dialer is a slightly faster design and possibly more suited to lined-up waves where you need
to get up and haul arse! JJR may disagree though as he's on like his 18th Swordfish I think and takes them
to Peru with him. YMMV, but that's my take.

great looking board

did you contact DK and then he contacted justin? or vice versa to get it in carbon glassing?

thanks
I had DJ do the shaped eps blank and coordinated the pick-up and drop-off with Justin for the glassing.
I'm sure you could do either way with no difference. FWIW, DJ also has a glass shop that does top-notch
work if you don't need the carbon. Putting out beautiful stuff!
