The majority of the funding is coming from the US.

Remember the shenanigans with funding from “we build the wall” that Bannon was eventually pardoned for?

Russia is moving on Ukraine. Canada is a NATO country. The strategy is to disrupt a NATO country and it’s ability to react quickly by forcing the evacuation of someone like Trudeau, and hope the same sh!t catches on in the US.

Or maybe this is all just coincidence.

Also the account behind organizing many of the groups on FB was hacked:

The entity behind some of the largest Facebook groups supporting the protests is an unknown person or persons who used the Facebook account of a Missouri woman. She says her account on the platform was hacked and stolen.

The account launched a handful of Facebook groups for the protest, all between Jan. 26 and 28, before the trucker convoy reached Ottawa. With a combined following of more than 340,000 members and more than 7,500 posts, the group names were variations on a theme: “Convoy to Ottawa 2022,” “Convoy for Freedom 2022,” “Freedom Convoy/Ottawa 2022 for Canada,” “Freedom Convoy 2022” and “2022 Official Freedom Convoy to Ottawa.”

Facebook groups are organized by administrators. Grid found that the only administrator account for these groups belonged to the Missouri woman. Reached briefly by phone on Monday, she said her account was hacked and she was not involved with the groups.

If the truckers are blocking the road we can kill them, right?
You get to kill as many of those as you killed of the BLM rioters when they controlled the streets and burned and looted and vandalized.

That's how many you get to kill.

As for what the truckers deserve, they deserve to be handled equally to how the BLM protesters were treated when they stepped off the curb to take to the streets. Every one of them is subject to arrest and fines, and they get what they get. If they weren't willing to take that risk then they should have stayed off the street.

There have been a good number of civil disobedience types who have been willing to accept the arrests and penalties for blocking traffic or trespassing. They're putting their well-being where their mouths are. You can't really fault them for that.

The DAs and the courts don't always treat the offenders equally, though. They exercise their discretion, which can lead to the type of moral hazard that enabled (for example) the mistaken belief among the 1/6 rioters that they would be handled the same way some of the other rioters had been handled elsewhere across the nation in 2020.

Big mistake on their part. But no matter, they still get what they get.

At least they've been smart enough (so far) as to not wander onto an Interstate-5 freeway at night to block traffic in the dark. Or to stop motorists at gunpoint, only to get shot in the face for their troubles.

Which other "riot" involved protesters raiding an occupied government building?

If anyone thought that rummaging through offices of Congressmen and women would yield the same punishment as throwing a brick at a courthouse window at night should have realized the difference.

Like I said, big mistake on their part. Attempting to burn the building down with people inside (like in Portland) might have yielded a more "empathetic" response. Or not.

Has anyone pointed out that the same people who once wanted to let American’s with comorbidities die for the sake of the economy are the same people cheerleading truckers shutting down the economy over masks and vaccines? Tell me how any of this makes sense.

Those folks were charged and convicted with sentences consistent with most of those charged on 1/6.

Intellectual consistency is often lacking among dim witted reactionaries.

It's Reflexive Opposition. They are just opposed to everything the elites/governments/academics support. Doesn't matter what, they just automatically hate it, because they hate them.

We all suck. With a thread title like this and nothing of Boozy the Clown?!

I think the truck drivers are just lonely and need someone to hear them or at least give them a hug and then all will be well. Maybe Sturgis can spare a few furries?
