Shouldn't waivers for such things be at the discretion of those who innovated and invested to create those vaccines. If they want to give it away or sell it for a price that should be entirely up to those companies. This is a terrible move.

Most of the time, yes.

If you think the Covid is a made up think, yes, definitely.

I don't think Covid is done with humanity yet.

If you want that sentiment to be framed as being scared, go ahead.

But if I'm right, just remember, I told you so.

IF you are right, and it's a nothing burger, I will be happy too! :dancing:

Isn’t it better for humanity overall if we get this pandemic under control?
That should not mean we throw the rights of the innovators who made these vaccines possible out the window. This isn't about our pharmaceutical companies selling vaccine to foreign countries. This is our government in essence giving foreign competitors to those companies the formula to make and sell the product that those companies worked so hard to develop.

what if those innovators received payments directly from the U.S. government?

Through the EUA period, yes.

after the EUA period, no.

bidens proposal is terrible. there are alternative ways to help the world end the pandemic while still protecting IP. Let china solve the problem they created. They already lead the world in export of vaccines To foreign countries. let them handle it.

Also, Hr3 is not a good path to lower drug prices. An international standard? WTAF.

Have you read about what Roosevelt did to the corps during WWII?

This ain't nothing.

Most of the pharmaceutical companies are multi-nationtionals.

It’s even more. theres a safety and efficacy element as well. Guarding the IP/cmc information keeps it from folks who dont know what they are doing trying to earn a cheap dollar. It’s like cheap chineese knockoffs. Keeps the market supplied with high quality, safe and efficacious medicine

popouts. Machine shaped surfboards. get it?

anyone see the indo state owned pharma company that washed 9,000 nasal swabs for reuse at the airport? Gnarly. Imagine that but with someone injecting you with a medicine that is questionable. No thanks.
