Hochul probs wants to cut a deal where McCarthy hangs Santos out to dry and she appoints an actual centrist (R) to that seat. Kevin McCarthy is looking at this guy's fundraising skills and is like, wait until the furor subsides a little, normalize it, then have him own the libs and stack scrilla doing it.
