Lennox Head.
To be fair, Snapper is a wave that suits her surfing.

She will have a harder time at the CT venues.

If the Tour started in Aus as per normal, I would put money on her being top 5.

Small pipe for the ladies, maybe backdoor. Med sunset. Portugal just a beach break. Bells? Wave pool? I don’t see an issue.

Probably dropping in on you, California
I have, plenty.

And it's 3 girls: Tyler, Steph and Carissa.
steph surfs beautifully - Carissa has the power. This new crop of girls are way more progressive though and if they can get in the right headspace for competition - the top 3 should be worried.

theres already clips out there of Caity at Chopes looking pretty comfy.

My daughter graduated in the same junior high class as Caity a couple years ago. They rode in a boat being pulled behind a truck during the drive thru Covid Graduation. I Have been watching her surf (and skate at Prince) since she was little. She is the humble, soft spoken, leader of the New School. Think Slater, Machado, Dorian. I honestly don't think she really wants the attention. Think Curren. She was lucky in the fact that she didn't have a famous dad inadvertantly putting the spotlight on her. She was able to sneak under the radar without much fanlore until the last few years. Most in Oceanside knew it, but she was better than the rest of them, just didn't get the publicity. I think this was a true blessing. Made her work harder. With no disrespect, these young ladies will take down Carissa and Steph, much as Slater and Machado took down the older generation in the early 90's. This will happen within three years, potentially sooner!

It's theirs to inherit, naturally. They're half their age. She was 2 when Steph won her first World Title for Christ's sake. You know who won the world title when Kelly was 2? Reno Abellira.

I'm excited to see what Caity does on the CT. I'm just waiting to see it happen.
And I hope the younger girls get to get a few while the matrons are still on tour and ripping rather than retiring.
As much talk there is of the bubble of young female talent, there is a massive void between the teenagers and the World Champs of the last 15 years. We'll see if Tyler gets back in contention, but she doesn't have the gravitas of the the other 2.

Caity has a more interesting approach than Caroline, but Caroline had the hype going into her rookie year, but she clearly had areas she needed to improve and refine.

She's 5 years in, but Covid time is funny. She's all of 20.

Again, I'm not trying to downplay Caity's talent. I'm trying to point out that there is a lot of room for improvement before she's World Champ material. The great news is she's not going to have to unlearn too much like some of the women. Conologue, Lakey, Sage, Caroline even. They all had quirks in their style that developed because they were successful amateurs and young professionals despite them. They were just that much better than their peers. But they impacted their ability that they had to sand off. Some did it better than others. Caity just has to keep growing to stay coiled and extend on bigger canvases.

Everything is in a state of massive flux on the womens Tour because of the new venues.

Steph Gilmore 8 time world champ can't ride a backside tube.

Things will change very quickly when modern skill sets enter the frame.
What's old is new.
I've always believed that if Tahiti, Gland, and Fiji stayed on the Women's tour, Chelsea Georgeson would've had multiple World Titles. She was ahead of her time.
