Passed on the tour last year, and qualified this one without competing in Brazil. Another one-season wonder or are we looking at the next Carissa?
who cares how she does competitively. She already surfs better than most, if not all of the ladys on tour.
Just watched a bit of a Stab vid with her and Ian Crane in Indo. Starts with them riding around on a step through with no helmets in Bali. Blink of an eye is all it takes.
She absolutely rips
I like her surfing for a lot of the same reasons I like Dane's. I feel like he was punished by the judges for being too casual between sections and wait between big moves -- joe turdpel would comment on it directly like it was a bad thing because he's an idiot -- but that doesn't seem to have affected her so far. Of the heats I've seen of her she seems to know how to play the tactical game too.

Stud. And in two years she'll be one not to mess with.

He single-handedly reset the judging scale and was often wildly rewarded for single turn waves, much to the chagrin of his peers.

Might be the best surfer to ever come out of Oside. Lotssss of "good" surfers from Oside. But not many "great" surfers that make it. I think she'll be going head to head with Carrisa and Stephanie in a few years.

She’s insane and only getting better. Between her, Sierra Kerr and the freaky Brooks girl, that tour will look a lot different in the coming years.

Caity is better than Bettylou.
Not taking the spot last year was the best thing she could have done. She’s significantly better now and mentally way more mature. I don’t expect top 3 next year but top 5 might be in the cards.
