Hopefully, surfing

I know you Cali guys know the scoop on Cabo.
How hollow does it get down there around December?
I've heard anything from deadly to bonecrushing.
That's if there's a South swell of course but that time of year isn't there always?

Cabo gets bigger in the summer months when hurricanes build south of Cabo and when large ground swell from New Zealand travels to the West coast of North America. Waves can be hollow, but mostly good carving walls and crumbly lips. In Dec. there is surf when a large Northwest comes down from Alaska, but our summer is the time to go to Cabo!

In December, you'll probably be seeing NW swell only. A few very good point breaks about 45 minutes to an hour north of town pick them up nicely. If you don't mind a couple of hours a day of driving, you'll score.

You'll have a great time regardless if you have never been. You should definitely rent a car while you are there. You might have to drive up north to Pescadero to score any waves that time of year. Have fun!
