How big is your egg? I love and embrace my It 2win 6'9" just another way to ride a wave:shaka:

This photo popped up on Instagram. I surfed with Robert when I was surfing off of a bicycle. (around age 14 I figure) I remember him showing me the board (the one with the competition stripe) and my mind was blown. I was convinced I was looking at the future. I described the board to Malcolm probably 40 some years later. This is like photographic evidence of a childhood impression. I think at the time I was riding the shortest Morey Pope Camel ever made, and I instantly knew my equipment was sh!t by comparison.

How long did it take you to grow that hair/beard?

That‘s not me. I was around 14-15 years old when I met him. My hair was probably that long by 18, but no beard. Mustache.:monkey:

I’ve finally spent a bit of time on the new egg and I can say I think it’s my new favorite board. I was worried about 6’10 since I’ve been riding mostly 5’10s for a good while now. I’m not good at reviews so I’ll just say this boards a keeper and my shorter boards are currently collecting dust. Now I’m just trying to figure out if a russ short is excessive and what size to go I’m thinking 6’8 to 7’0. I’d be more comfortable shorter.

For me the RS sounds like a perfect step up, good wave, and travel board so I would go step up dims:shaka::shaka:

Curious how big would you go step up rts265? I been riding short stubby boards 6" below my height (5'8") and my hpsb's is 1" under and other is 3" above. I wanted a step up that could handle size yet really have no need for semi gun so I went 6'3" same width as hpsb 1" under (other is 1/4" less width) and 1/4" more thickness then both my hpsb. My step up: 6'3" x19" x 2.5" swallow quad but I think if I went MC shaped RS Ibwould go 6'3" x18.75"(? Confirm with MC) x 2. 375".

Bumblebee a little under height has some serious range and can handle some barrels but hates mush:shaka: For me the BB is what started the short and stubby revolution for me and how far I could go. During my 40z it was just the right pill to swallow to keep my stock alive.

man short stubbies kept me surfing now I’m in my 40s and think longer lengths are more challenging mostly because I’m not used to the length.
