"The Stork" was also surf photographers Bud Brown's nickname because he was 6'4" and you always knew it was him filming from the beach or when he was bodysurfing anywhere on Oahu's north shore. RIP

The injury was from October of 2018, and he's healed up just fine.

After the wipeout, "Mike Stewart said he suffered the worst bruises of his already long career in the waves, and that it was only the second time he got stitches from surfing injuries.."
