Boardshort pockets

Great trunks that meet your requirements, but WAY WAY WAAAAYYYY overpriced: Blue Smiths. Three quality zippered pockets and they look good. They also cost $225 for a pair. I got a pro/bro discount on a pair, and they are legit.

If they made these for $125/pair, they'd own the trunks market. But they don't. So they don't.

Edit: I found these when my shoulder was in a sling for 6 months. Couldn't use my right arm and needed pockets on the left. Most are on the right. Just pointing that out.

Oneill has options in 21" too but I find the legs are a little tighter than the Volcom:

I agree, wish the short boardshort trend would die. I asked Florence marine to consider making 20" or longer and they gave positive response but nothing yet.

Some baggies @ 22" made from Cordura would be cherry!

Anyone have experience with matuse? Found these. Appears they have 25% off too. Two side pockets, 19” outseam. I also like the outer extra eyelits. The two reviews on them both say order never received, so that has me a little worried

UPDATE: I ordered these trunks after seeing this post. Used the code LOVEMATUSE and got 25% off so they were $69. Got them a couple of days ago. Solid trunks. Nothing too special, but the pockets are good and they work. Way more comfortable material than the über expensive Blue Smiths. I like them and am going to order another pair. Good two pocket trunks.

Meh - not long enough for my liking, but very close. Close enough. 19" outseam. I need to roll it up to keep it in, but it still works.

Kinda sucks they don't have them in black, though.
