DIY is bezt and you can make it custom for you find recipe on line you like and buy the ingredients at drug store and on line. Two main things (go heavy on for waterproof and last longer)are: non nano zinc oxide and use shea butter. The coconut shea butter is nice I went organic. I have to wash and scrub this off in shower after surf and never goes bad if stored in good container out of sunlight.
The zinc spf 30 sunbum in the black bottle is the best. Stays on in the water, but yeah, is hard to wash off after.#designforum

The ones with zinc are probably the best, but man, I have a hard time getting it off with soap. Still feel sticky even after shower

I am using Surface ATM and it seems pretty good. Surface doesnt burn my eyes so thats a plus (gotta let it sit for 10 min).

I have sun bum in my tackle box but haven't tried it surfing yet.

Sun Bum and my skin do not get along. I assume it's blocking the sun for me, and the burn is a chemical burn, but I'm not down with it.

Yep, I use the TJ stick on my nose and cheeks on top of the CVS sunscreen...good combo!
