They removed literal porn from school libraries

BANNING BUKS
Which one of these books are literal porn? "I am Jazz"? Or The Life of Rosa Parks?

This is literally designed to keep kids ignorant about other cultures and the world around them.
And you want to talk about grooming and gubmint tyranny.
Clown car goes toot toot.

There is nothing sacred or magical about periods, it’s just another bodily function

sounds like more childless male feminists getting outraged over things they don’t understand

Now, are they in favor of stopping physicals for all student athletes?
so, if a girl/woman decides she doesn’t want to provide that informatio, is that ok? Should she still be allowed to play?

its the making it mandatory that is the problem.

What if a boy doesn’t want his balls grabbed? Or submit to a blood pressure exam?

what if a girl doesn’t want to be weighed?

or even better, what if the kid doesn’t have all their vaccines?

I like where we’re going here

Ron DeSantis was in high school in 1997

now, I’m not a medical professional like casa, but infrequent and missed periods can be a sign of all kinds of medical problems. There is nothing sacred or magical about periods, it’s just another bodily function
The guy who cheered for the abortion ban and closing of the Planned Parenthood is concerned about women's health.

AND is against the government involvement in anything. :roflmao:

Too much ironing, I can't.

What will he cheer next, goverment banning school books?

Although the FHSAA voted in January 2023 to recommend instituting this requirement, as of this writing it has not yet been implemented (contrary to some online reports). The FHSAA's Board of Directors is set to render a decision on the proposal in February.

Desantis - government can’t tell private businesses what to do with Covid restrictions.

now:

Desantis - private businesses cannot say they require vaccinations.

Desantis - public schools can’t mandate masks.

Later - private schools can’t require masks.

Dessntis - we’re a FREEDOM state! But it’s a felony if you let your children read or talk about certain things.

yeah, dictatorship
So protecting people from being forced to take a vaccine or wear masks is authoritarian?

i think you’re reaching here.

no balls grabbed? Fine. There are other less pedo ways to check for hernia by observing or hands not on scrotom.

tell me how menstruation health can’t be discovered by other methods? Maybe I’ll change my mind.
weight and blood pressure are obviously important.

vaccines? Who cares at this point? Anyone that wanted it has it by now.

Wouldn't other method be more invasive than a simple set of questions?

you can’t have it both ways. Either you let private businesses do their thing, or you’re forcing them to do your thing.

Florida is an at will state. No one is forcing you to work for a company that wants vaccinations.
So if a private business wants to pay immigrants $1 a day and make its workers work 16 hours for that $1, and the state of Florida says you can’t do that then that’s authoritarian?

Also, this vax requirement wasn’t something that was in place when the people were hired. Imagine working at a company for 10-15, establishing a life for yourself and your family then suddenly they require you to get a shot or you’re fired. Thats about as close to forcing it as you can get.

If a boss tells an underling to have sex with him or lose your job that‘s rape.

ok, so, if someone is willing to sell their time for $1 a day, that’s their choice. Corporations constantly outsource labor, but no one is crying about that. Are you really going to pretend that you care enough to pay $15 for strawberries?

plenty of people have lost long term jobs for things that aren’t vaccine related and no one cares about that. And, the actual percentage of companies actually requiring vaccine is tiny. I lost many jobs over the years because of “restructuring “ or other issues that I didn’t agree with - not getting overtime, or reimbursement for tolls/fuel being one job I remember well. That’s the private sector, and don’t pretend that the GOP cares about workers rights.

and sexual assault is a long stretch from requiring vaccines.

if you’re going to constantly beat your chest about keeping government out of people’s lives, You can’t speak out of both sides of your mouth.

remember, this is the same guy that started it fight with Disney because he didn’t like their criticism of his Dont Say Gay bill.

GOP loves to say their all about freedom, but constantly tell people what to do.

You’re misssing the point. In the cases you mention the government was protecting INDIVIDUALS from overreach by government (public schools) and corporations (businesses that were forcing medical procedures their workers).

And Florida got it right in regards to COVID, especially the vaccine mandates.

Remember, we were supposed to take the vaccine to stop the spread of COVID. The vaccines don’t do that, not even a little bit.

look, I think the entire world screwed up with Covid. A lockdown is only effective if everyone does it, and does it early.

I don’t necessarily agree with vaccine mandates, but people are stupid, and no one follows basic principles.

however, you can’t have it both ways. Either you are going to say private sector runs itself or it doesn’t. If companies start losing employees in droves, they’ll quickly turn around. Especially when we were at one of the best times to be looking for work.
