The water temp of the ocean is cooling the urine in the suit.
Yeah but the urine is heating the water in the suit.

And if it ain't enough, then just drink more coffee beforehand.

We have an amazing water heater system.

Just think about it, if we were properly motivated and strategic with where we p*ssed and win, we might never have to wear wetsuits again.

My good winter suits usually dont let any water in at all. I sometimes take it off and have almost no water on my body or hair. However if my suit has a small leak or does let water in, once I pee in the suit the urine gets cooled by the water from the ocean and ends up making me colder than had i not pissed in the suit.

Not sure if this happens to anyone else.

I dunno but given the temperatures you speak of, feel free to pee on people if they're on fire.

1 more vote for peeing as soon as its on.

On a side note, I think pissing in your suit on a really cold day, only makes you colder. People have told me "i cant wait to pee in my suit". But on super cold days, if i pee in my suit the pee makes me colder on the inside because its wet in there.

Does anyone disagree?

Doesn’t your bladder soak up body heat to warm the urine before you pee so wouldn’t it be important to rid the pee in order for the bladder to focus on other things and not steal your body heat??
Also, its best to pee on the beach while stretching and do some judo chop kicks to your unexpected friend who joined you for a morning surf and stretch next to you. Sharing is caring…

Got damm... this thread has become really tedious.

Let me break it down for you fellas.

If you pee in your suit that is OK.

Once you get home rinse it good inside and out with the outside hose and let it hang somewhere to dry before the next go.

FFS, is it really that much of a burden to rinse your suit after each surf?

Fuckallofyou for making me read this whole thread. :computer:

I had a urologist tell me that kids that grow up surfing a lot of hours have weak bladders. Because they are used to peeing whenever they feel the slightest urge. Holding it strengthens things.

I have no idea. I have read that in some shark infested areas surfers will NOT pee in their suits on the theory that urine contains minute quantities of blood which attracts sharks. I'm not sure I could do that.
Both paragraphs above are complete bullshit.

Speaking of sharks, I saw one breach this morning at Santa Claus Lane.

I saw it from the freeway while driving. Full body air with a large prey animal in it’s mouth - seal or sea lion.

My first thought?

”Mmmm, I’ve never seen a pinniped at SCL before.”

By the time you ****, your body has already heated the fluid. It feels warm once you **** but when that loose **** feels warm against your skin, which is colder or you wouldn't really feel it as warm, it has already started transferring heat OUTSIDE of your body, so it's best just to keep it as a preheated insulatiry ballast for yer innards. If heat efficiency is what you're after, you shouldn't **** but if you're that cold natured and full of ****, then maybe you should work on why, when, where or how you're doing your surfriding.
I feel trolled will someone analyze me please why do i feel like this

PS I’m looking forward to pissing in my wetsuit tomorrow. Will report back.
Also, excel dry lock seem to keep water out really well and as soon as you ****, it opens the flood gates for the ocean. Strange. I guess it bears marinating in my own ****.

In the colder climates everyone loves peeing in suits...nothing like that temporary warm flush. There is little question as to why my booties smell like hepatitic death every winter, they become urine cisterns. I echo Teamscam - I actually think that for actually keeping warm you are better holding the pee in, all that heated liquid probably helps keep the core warm and the momentary surface warmth doesnt really do anything in the long term.

Put me down for pee is warmer than the ocean water between your suit and skin and therefore it provides a temporary warmth boost. I don't think mass of **** relative to mass of body counts for that much.
