Things weren't quite that clear cut in the 1990s. The United States was a pretty cohesive place in the '90s, and we didn't have leftist nutcases murdering scores of people just so that it would be blamed on evil gun-loving conservatives. That's how congress was able to run to the front of the gun-grab parade. Slick wording though. The rise in mass murder deaths took three years to materialize after the Brady law expired. That doesn't much add up to a cause and effect relationship. As I recall some of the mid-2000s mass murders were perpetrated by angry jihadis .....which has nothing to do with gun laws.
The leftist mass media started leading the gun-grab parade. Now every idiot who wants attention can become instantly famous by killing a bunch of our children.
As of October 26, 72 people were killed in mass shootings in the United States in 2023.
