No, Tom Carroll and company got their windows waxed at h canyon. They were in pretty good company here with Pete Davi.

It was me, slater and that really annoying C grade “pro” Australian surfer out at big, side shore and not great dbah awhile back. Brutal paddle out but it looked like some corners from the beach, which there were. Three of us out in not great surf avoiding the crowds at snapper and slaters hassling for waves. I had to call kelly freaking slater off a wave I was deeper for, which upset him. I didn’t give a rats ass. This sweet and delicious bag of candy travels the world and can’t turn it off when there’s three people out in sh!t surf.

the mood lightened up when an eagle ray jumped like 10’ out of the water nearly landing on him. Me and the Aussie were laughing our ass’s off at slater as he sprint paddled as fast as he could away. He had his back to it so had no idea, all he heard was the loud slap just behind him.

I seems Christian is not as belgerently irreverent as I would have thought. Some of what he said was totally respectful.

I remember a quote from him, in a mag or something back in the day and he was referring to a contest judge or someone with some clout somewhere he said "... I wish they die. I wish they would die twice" Or something to that effect.

I liked it, and I use it myself sometimes to this day.
