Not that surf the area much but when I'm in the 805 I love how many local shapes I see (Roberts, CI, MM, etc.)
Campbell brothers are making a resurgence as well. Couple years ago I saw zero AOs in the water other than the one I was on. Now I’m seeing them quite a bit. There were always a few fruit cakes around surfing bonzers but not AOs.

One guy I see a lot at point I frequent asked me (this was a couple years ago) asked me what I was riding - it that first blue AO that I got too fat for - and I guess he liked they way I was surfing on it because it’s all he rides now. Good surfer, used to always ride thrusters. Ran into him a couple months ago and he said he’s got a few different sizing options - one “standard”, one shorter wider and one longer narrower. He said he pretty much only rides the standard one. He also said the first couple he had had glass-ons but he kept cracking the glass around the fin so gave up and only rides futures now.

And yes, he runs the TA fins too.

I’ve seen a few others as well.

J7 gets some love around here too. He’s still making boards

J7's look so good.

I'm a little guilty as I ride half boards from Orange County but the rest are build within 5-10 miles of me.

I would love to see how an AO or B5F egg go at the points.

No experience with the egg but the AO in point surf is otherworldly.

Jason makes great boards. I’ve had a few over the years. Firefly is one of my favorites. I should get another one.
