Duus, I've ben riding my townsend the past few days here in some juice in SD. Boar goes. Like, really goes. While it wouldnt be my first choice for ledging waves, on the big open faces we get here it turned on. I'm continually surprised at how tight it can hook in the pocket on critical sections. I keep pushing it and it keeps hanging.

how big is yours? Did you get it as step-up?
Mine is 6'10 x 20 x 2.7
Didn't specifically get it as a step up but it has an asym winged pin. I have a 6'6" Ledge coming for my trip to hawaii-and legit steep waves in general, ie blacks, so I'll be able to compare the two soon.

I'm riding a 6'7 varial Townsend. It's cheating at surfing in SD.
riding bigger boards in head high plus surf has really opened my eyes.
