Interesting difference between the two AM large templates:

FCS:
Side: 15.63 Center:14.68

Futures:
Side: 15.98 Center:15.32

Quite a bit of difference between the two sets as well as the ratio between side and center fin area. I wonder how discernible this is?

Then check out the Futures AM1 (Medium):
Base 14.84 Center 13.35

1.5 sq in difference between side and center...significantly different than their large counterpart.

Wonder how they come up with these dims.

- Havoc, out!

If you factor in true Ames and the Capt fin co versions you can really make some good combos

When I was a bit lighter and rode single concave boards with lots of tail flip I like the true Ames CI large sides with the am1 blackstix center

there is most likely a difference in the way fcs and futures measure also. have used both sets in the past, can't say that there was much of a difference in feel between the two.

ill chhrck my old ver. i recall there waz a size diffo
I’ve got FCS Merricks going back to those black plastic ones from the 90s. Same size. Rear is the same too. Exact same fins.

True Ames are different. Rear is same as fronts and their larges are slightly larger.

the futures techflex r slightly larger than non techflex. weird
i have two sets of futures hex-core snd they are the same as all the others.

Are you sure your non Tex mex set is am2 and not am1?

Also the rear fin is smaller than the fronts.
