just short of 40, 5'10, 202-205 depending on drinking the night before. active, but still an out of shape barfly/alley drunk. 38 liters. slightly mad Bulkley wouldn't at least put 37.99999999999 to preserve my fragile ego-pepis.
51 years, 185+/-lbs, 5'10"
In the Summer or Fall with little or no suit
I'm is it32- 37litres
With gloves, booties and /if I wear the hooded 6/5/4 I'm usually 37-41, I have one around 42 that I use.
I have a 37 litre 6'4" I ride for all manner of conditions when I'm not feeling my youth, for whatever reason I may be unsure about the challenges the day might offer whether onshore lumps or 30+kt offshores, a heavier paddle or aggressive (-ish)jockeying crowd.
Getting older is a strange animal.
I'm sometimes inspired to try harder when I see the older ppl ripping or having a blast on shortboars guys like R Kenvin I recently saw and there was Tom Curren in Mexico, heck Noel the reviewerguyseems older but still surfing at a higher than average level.
It can be unforgiving depending on where that bar is set, amongst all the blurry clutter of age.
Some days I'm happy to get a couple rides and grateful that no one's paying attention anyway.
I like boards shorter than me, in the 24-25L range, with a nice juicy round tail, kinda wide preferably but not a deal breaker.
Facial features very important, strongly prefer a round nose - pointy nose might be a deal breaker.
