That was this morning in Encinitas. Is there anywhere else where the air temp is that cool with water that warm? Super odd to be cold with off shores blowing feeling more like 50º in the air and then getting into warm water with such a drastic difference in temp.

seems within the realm of normal for this time of year. it was a little chilly yesterday morning, felt good to get in the water. As soon as the sun popped up it warmed up tho.

Ha ha, no... 2mm long arm spring was plenty, but almost everyone else was in full suits. Water was fine, air and off shore wind was chilly.
8/10 were wearing fullsuits at O-side Harbor this morning. The water temp is 71 friggin degrees!!! Man Southern Californians are such pvssies.
That's normal in Ventura for this time of year. Chilly offshores blow out of the Ojai valley and create some really fun peaks. It's a weird sensation to have cold prickly ears while your feet are nice an toasty.
