    ***Official Car Talk Thread***

My 2015 Lesbaru Forester CVT just sh!t the bed at 125k miles, waiting on the repair costs that are likely to be at least one third of the value of the car. Eyeing up a CRV Hybrid but holy fuck those things are pricey for what they are.

Pass + friends in town...might as well do PCMR. Should also make the drive to Lcc/Bcc or up to Snowbasin for a day...sh!t, even Sundance makes for a really fun low key day.

Worked a season in PC about 15ish years ago. Haven't been back since they connected PCMR & Canyons, but both were extremely skippable.

*** Official Snow Surfing Thread ***

No, but close...Did St Gervais/Megeve & Les Contamines just down valley from Chamonix and Courmayer on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc tunnel. Conditions were all over the place, expect snow quality somewhere between east and west coasts. Bus after bus arriving from Chamonix to St Gervais...

    Where do you buy clothes?

Bought a pair of Fluevog boots in Montreal a few years back...I'd do it again too. Uniqlo for basics, otherwise I generally try to buy clothes while traveling. Especially if I can get some VAT refund action. The wife enjoys shopping a bit too much, showing a little bit of interest into shopping...

*** Official Snow Surfing Thread ***

Headed up to Banff in January to ski Sunshine Vil and Lake Louise, and to freeze my ass off. Never been before but the direct flights to Calgary and relatively easy access make it an attractive proposition for limited time.

    ****Official Board Bag Fees Thread*****

They do but the person you get on the phone has no idea and will pretty much tell you to bring your boardbag to the check in desk and see what they say.

Pretty sure it's a 4wd/snow tire requirement, I dont think they do chains out there. If it snows, you'll be in a long slow line of cars, park and ride the bus at the mouth of the canyon if you're not comfortable or they go with the awd/snow tires requirements. If it's dry you'll be fine.

    Tha Iggils Won!!!!

Not Eagles related. It's not just these car "meetups" but driving feels like taking your life into your hands you drive in the city. Has always been somewhat lawless but people have figured out that cops dont want to bother pulling cars over and have fully stopped following any traffic laws...

    1st time going to Hossegor

Just got back yesterday....Surf was absolute dogshit. Didn't get in the water more than a handful of times but made up for it by eating way too much good food.

    1st time going to Hossegor

Use an empty single board bag as your suitcase, on the way back stuff everything you can in, leftovers go in cheap collapsible carry on duffel. Cabianca is in the area too, probably has some stock boards ready to go.

    1st time going to Hossegor

Zurriola, average one turn beach break but it's right there and it lets me fit a morning surf before getting into touristy stuff and stuffing my face. Long term forecast looks to be improving a bit but still mostly in the waist+ zone. Probably just packing fins/leash & maybe a mat+flips. Would...
