What do you want out of the board? I own a BD and have held a Vesper (never ridden), and to me, the BD is more HP than the Vesper. The Vesper that I held was for a bigger guy, so dims were beefier than what I would order, but it still felt overly chunky and I personally didn't like the deep...

Will any of these Florida wave pools actually get built?

I honestly don't know, but I think there's more political roadblocks, zoning and environmental hurdles to get through than we know, especially down south when you get close to the Everglades. I used to work for a shopping center developer here and the amount of red tape that they had to get...

Will any of these Florida wave pools actually get built?

Today I learned FL surfers: - Are poor and can’t afford to spend money on anything other than basic life essentials - Won’t surf in the cold - Severely lack in overall numbers - Don’t surf Waco :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

I would also add: take clear, well-composed pictures and write a description with the details (condition, dims, etc). Write this as if you’re an adult whose first language is english, not some bro-bra who just put down the bong.

Just sold a used (probably 15-20 surfs) Subdriver 2.0 for $425 on FM. This is probably the 3rd or 4th board I've sold on there in the past year, all ranging from $650 to $375 based on brand and condition.

    Best Florida Surf Town

Yeah, definitely stocked for this if it happens. I'm not all that familiar with anything south of Flagler anymore, but maybe there's nowhere left to build this down south? And if there is, maybe the available land is just too far out in BFE? The location they're proposing here makes good sense...

    Pyzalien 2

^ I did this same a couple months ago...you won't regret it. Even though I've been battling injury and haven't had the chance to ride it in good surf, I can tell the board is going to be insane. It paddles into waves effortlessly and is an overall easy to ride, rippable shortboard.

Leash Plugs - Regular vs. Goofy

Either heel or centered for me, depending on the tail shape. Swallow or asym = heel (as far back as they can get it) Squash or thumb = center Plug on the toe side seems like it would be a recipe for standing on your leash and blowing waves

^ I missed it last night, but finally got a fun session this morning where my back didn't feel like it was going to lock up. I've been dealing with an on/off injury for the last 2 months  Still scared to go 100% this morning, but managed to get some fun ones in clean-ish...

    New Lost: Lost the Ripper

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up ordering a PJ Pro after getting some more info on the differences between the two. Very similar boars, but the PJP is slightly wider (stock vs stock dims) throughout and has less tail rocker. This should suit the waves I want to ride it in more so than the Ripper.

    New Lost: Lost the Ripper

I still have the PJHP and still love it. However, it’s a 5’5 and I don’t like riding such a small boar in anything over like stomach high (unless it’s clean and slopey). I prefer a bit more length in that chest/shoulder zone, especially if it’s onshore and bumpy.

    New Lost: Lost the Ripper

Bump. Any more ride reports? I'd love to hear a comparison between The Ripper and Puddle Jumper Pro. I'm trying to decide between these two for a shortboard feel that will go in waist-shoulder beach break.
