A decade or two ago, the Mormon Church built a gigantic temple adjacent to Hwy 5. Looked like a Disney castle of sorts. On top of the highest sphere there’s a golden statue of some guy with a horn, raised to the heavens. Before construction was completed there was a storm and, according to local news/media, lightening hit the golden dude (I think but am a little cloudy, the report said the arm and horn fell to earth). Repaired and no further reports of damage. Before the Temple opened, the church invited the public (non-believers) to visit and enjoy the interior of the church. Media reported after the public visitations were over, the church removed/replaced all carpets, repainted the interior, etc. Wonder if the lightening was a message (doubt it as the church is still standing in all of its glorious Disneyland majesty.
I guess the orange reversed swastika is religious related rather than Nazi related…
