I still like my Insanity a lot, I just haven't ridden it much recently. I can't remember if Aruka liked his or not.
Insanity to me feels like a stretched out Disco Cheater. Lower entry rocker on the Insanity but exit rockers feel very similar.

Insanity is good. I probably oversized mine and would go shorter if I got another. Rocker felt a little low which kept it from becoming a go to although I did have some memorable sessions on it, mostly in bigger waves. Couldn't decide when to ride it over a more lively shortboard or a more legit step up.
This is what I did all summer. I think the disco cheater depends where you’re coming from. If you normally ride a full on short board (because of skill or conditions or combo) the DC is absolutely a groveler. my 5’10 19.75 is like 14.15in wide on the nose. What’s a normal 5’10 shortboard nose? 12.5?
but if you’re a RNF96 daily driver type surfer (me), the DC has a lot more rocker, more rail line at the same volume and a rrally pulled in tail for what Sharpeye calls a “small wave board”. For a 45yr old, lazy but competent surfer it can be your better wave board, as long as you don’t line in Hawaii etc

For me somewhere in between. Fish are like 5-8 to 5-10. SB are 6-1 to 6-3. DC is 5-11. It feels just about perfect, like my feet are always in the right spot. I wouldn't want to go any shorter because it does have some rocker. To me the DC feels most like a stubby 6-0 Stamps GX I had like 5+ years ago.

My fish are around 5'6 - 5'7. Shortboards are 6'0. My DC was 5'10 and felt perfect. Simliar to what Aruka said.
