I can't wait for the day when they do a shape off honoring Stamps. Clearly they will have to shape one of the SBD pro models.
I agree. It takes a true master to design a board model that makes someone as bad as you surf competently.

Mitsven has put his hands on a few of my stamps and has spoken very highly of them. Started following him on Instagram since then. Mutual respect.
When Terry Martin was alive I brought a Mabile Twinzer with me to his Bay. Like your story he was super into it. Basically saying there is some secret sauce in the Bottom of that board. Good surf talk for sure!

Blows my mind when shapers don't know other fairly high profile people. Like DH in EAST not knowing who Simon Jones was.
...some of my experience is plain old Ego for them to say they dont know. They know most others as the Shaper/Boardmaking Business is a small world.
Yeah I mean if dh didn't know who Simon was that also meant he didn't know who torren was. Dude must consume zero surf media.
I honestly don't think DH knew who Simon was.
DH is a high performance surfboard shaper with a narrow foccus. Probably only pays attention to hp shapes and shapers.
Simon is in an entirely different shaping world.
