I use the adjustable tabs and rails that you can buy at hardware stores, cut a slot in pvc tubing with a dremel, and cover with pipe insulation. Easy to adjust and the rails come in different lengths. For those on the floor, I keep them shoulder to shoulder since vertical stacking lets them protrude into the garage and takes up to much real estate. A beam attached to the wall, and bungees to secure.View attachment 132628View attachment 132629View attachment 132630

After building and trying a ton of different options for storing my boards(3-4 HEAVY logs, a prone paddleboard, 2 shortboards and a mid-length) in a tiny garage with a low ceiling and not much space, I bought this rack a few months ago and wish I had bought it a loooong time ago. Super easy to put together, freestanding, movable and extremely strong. It was super expensive for a rack, but if you think about how much a good board costs these days, I'm fine with it.

Probably would have taken a cheaper route material-wise, but figured these 1/2” galvanized brackets will out last me, can be easily moved, and look cool against the exposed brick in my rental basement. Plus I like doing projects.
Are you related in any way to Imelda Marcos?

FML, I feel old making that reference.
