I wonder if that's what El Cap would look like if they sawed it up. I figure California must have at least as much granite at Italy, but probably not that same beautiful white color they make palaces out of.
isn’t it italian marble, not granite ?

we need to have rock boy clarify for us...

the architect specced a particular variety of italian marble for the facades of these bldgs (a group of three), but i forget what it was called. they have a really warm cream/buff tone - bldgs were pretty much derided when finished, but i like ‘em a lot!

The scale of that quarry is mind-bending.

in the future we can have lots of gigundo statues made of mao, tupac, and hillary.

although if they discover a vein of orange marble somewhere, how great could that be post 2024?

maybe in serbia?

I think a coprolite is a proper substitute for the orange marble.
