Ok, that's one. But here's a sample of regulations rolled back by Trump: https://www.brookings.edu/interactives/tracking-deregulation-in-the-trump-era/

So, uh, that seems to defeat your argument. See how easy "proof" is? LOL.
Yes, the Patriot Act and what Snowden exposed is proof and has led to all of us having our personal information vacuumed up by the government. As for taxes, look at the CA gas taxes that they promise are for roads but end up in the general fund, high car registration fees, paying sales tax on used/private car sales, high income taxes . . . Good luck getting any of those rolled back.

As for regulations on corporations, that's a low hanging fruit. It should have been clear from my post that I was talking about civil liberties, which is why you ignored that and talked about regulations to get your gotcha. Of course regulations on corporations come and go with different administrations. However both parties have proven to be antagonistic when it comes to individual civil liberties and very few in power are making any effort to walk that back.

I see. So yeah, you were proven wrong, but what you really meant was.... LOL. For the record, "regulations" is a term generally applied in business and regulatory settings, not related to individuals (where we use "laws"). But, restrictions on civil liberties are rolled back all the time too. See, e.g., the end of segregation and the rejection of bans on gay marriage. Now, don't get me wrong - those socialist (R) should have never allowed the Patriot Act under Bush, but you know, even if I dislike the Patriot Act, you're still wrong.

My first response on the subject (#229, page 12) was directly quoting a comment about TSA rules where I mentioned the Patriot Act, so yeah, it should be pretty obvious that I was talking about civil liberties. I guess I need to be more specific when I'm around the likes of you and fecalface, given how desperate you guys are for gotchas.

Did I ever say otherwise? Lolz. You were the one who started talking about regulations, not me.

Again, my words were "it is often never given back. Just look at how long it took to get rid of the patriot act." Which implies that it still happens and I even provided an example of such (where they really only got rid of some of it) it's more that it's not the norm. Look at how much surveillance ramped up during the Obama years, and the FBI still has the power the search your browser history without a warrant.

Stu's contrarianism took him to some real dummy levels on this thread

I plan on keeping an eye on Pasadena during these three weeks. They are adopting all the LA County guidelines except they are keeping restaurants open for al fresco. I'm interested to see what happens and if it appears that dining outside even actually is a major contributor to spread.

can't fully tell as the people working those restaurants don't live in Pasadena. also have to consider surrounding areas.

Prefer to think of it as making the right decision rather than giving anyone the finger. But yeah hope more cities follow.

Also, I think closing restaurants in LA was not Newsom, it's LA county.
Details shmeetails.
