The Hab got some quality time in Baja this month. It's a spicey one. Very lively and high performance-y. Compared to gx it doesn't grovel as well in mushy waves. Feels like it has a bit more rocker. Still gets into waves pretty well and has a nice stable platform under chest/front foot but definitely is more reactive to hind leg shreddage. What it gives up in weak waves it makes up for in the juicy stuff. Sometimes gx felt like it had to be nursed in overhead waves but the Hab definitely holds in better and feels more like a regular hpsb that rewards and active approach. I only got half a dozen sessions on the board and then some goober ran me over and buried 3 fins in the deck side which I didn't get a chance to fix until near the end of my trip. Still, I rode it for a few of my best sessions of the trip, probably of the year actually so I'm definitely a fan. Will update once I get to try it in some Oregon waves at home hopefully soon.
