If you want to pretend it was just an innocent analogy and not a bizarre hit on the president's son you're being dishonest.

Especially considering the source.
Trump was the target of the bad joke. Baron was subject matter for the joke.

It was wordplay (a pun) delivered poorly.

Her timing and vocal tone were off.

A pro comedian could have delivered that line to a sympathetic audience and got a laugh.

*Before I watched the video, the way you guys were going, I thought it was going to be like, "What's with Trump's son? What fvcking retard!"

Then followed up with some slapstick humor.

Something like that. :poop:

The Bar
It was just really bad comedy.
Yep. It would have better to link it to the former Chargers owner (same spelling) and Trump's inability to break into the NFL.

But that's way too convoluted (most of the reps think the red zone refers to that time of the month) and would have fallen flatter than a wave at Del Mar.

Her deep seated anger made the delivery difficult.

That's the thing.

Jokes delivered while seething with hatred aren't funny.

Even if you're on their side it's just kinda "Oh fvck, this person has a screw loose..."

"Contrary to what President Trump says, Article Two does not give him the power to do anything he wants.

The Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility, so while the president can name his son Barron, he cannot make him a baron"
how is this a "hit on the President's son"?

the comment doesn't denigrate the boy in any way, it simply invokes his
name in a hypothetical centered on his father's actions.

It would take a special kind of idiot to write that punchline for usage in that environment.
