Guess i'm going to have to make this really basic for you

No trucks = no economy

No emissions = no trucks
What about EV trucks?

I know thats not something we can realistically expect to happen overnight but why is it that far-fetched in the near future? Do you think freight companies are simply going to stop delivering goods to the biggest state in the Union, a state with an economy that would rank 5th in the world if it were a sovereign nation? Now think about how few EV'S were on the road 10yrs ago and where we're at now. There's no reason to think that we could seismically shift the freight industry with some time and the proper initiative without destroying anything but the fossil fuel industry.

California's economy is extremely based on foreign goods arriving from foreign countries and flowing out to other states. Then American dollars arrive from other states and flow out to other countries.

Yay. Thanks for contributing.

California's economy generates more federal tax dollars than are spent here, which keeps a lot of moocher red states afloat. Time to let them pull themselves up by their bootstraps

Oooo!. Now do Texas. Our GDP isn't as big. Off the top of my head our summers are hot, our population isn't as big and our location doesn't place us between buyers and sellers.

See the two higher up categories "Manufacturing" and "Oil and Gas"? Those are categories where we take raw materials, turn them into something useful, and sell them for money. Lots of it is foreign money.

You wouldn't know what that's like.

You think that makes it better? :roflmao:

Look at how many new zero emission trucks there are, and look how much they cost

Economy-destroying indeed

Diesel is the perfect engine now, why ruin it?

You shill and cry over procedural rituals, yet you don't care about legislation that will directly harm you

Then when you're wondering why everything is so expensive, your masters will tell you it's because of corporate greed

Corporations with 8% profit margins are price gouging!
this is not and has never been a persuasive argument against demonstrably inflated pricing

there is no agreed upon profit margin where predatory pricing is acceptable

Is passing on new costs to the consumer “predatory?”

is any profit predatory?
