Thanks but I prefer body cam footage and dispatch recordings.
Sure, I can understand that, getting as close to first hand information tends to be better.
And I remember this one time I stopped some guy breaking into a car near my work (I had gone out to move my car, 2hr parking hopscotch).
I got him out of the car (he was leaning in through a broken window grabbing at what turned out to be an amp) and he cursed me out, "Explicative explicative, its my car, my stuff!" then walked away.
Across the street was a guy on a phone saying he just called the cops.
Cops show up, interview both of us separately, then together.
We repeat our version of events.
I said it was a white guy with a blue sun tattooed on the back of his neck and he smelled homeless. He said it was an Asian man in blue jeans.
Cops look at us, asking how do we explain the differences.
Mr. Doof: "Like I said, I grabbed him on the calf when he was halfway in the car reaching for that boxy thing. I saw the tattoo up close. A faded blue sun. He smelled like he hadn't bathed in weeks. He shouted at me from about 5 feet away"
Witness #2: "I was on the other side of the street. Looked Asian to me."
As we are all talking, the owner of the car shows up.....
Anyway, want to bet that the body cam footage and dispatch recording will show the following:
1 show two men struggling with a single hammer then the cops rushing in
2 show no 3rd person opening the door
3 call will be less than ideal, difficult to make out what is happening
