And this table. What's with the weird foot pedal-looking things sticking out at the bottom of the columns? Can't possibly be added for stability. That table must weight a 500lbs. The gold inlays look fantastic though.

decorates apartment with green drapes and white veneer claw foot table...wonders why he's single
Drapes? TABLE???
WTF do you think this is? Southern Living magazine?

I have a folding table that gets used a couple times a football season when I order half a farm's worth of chicken wings. And a desk to work on.

I have two dollar Walmart blinds, except in the bedroom. I had duct-taped black trash bags over the windows so all the lights outside didn't flood my sh!t and keep me up. Eventually (eight years?) the landlord decided she'd put up some fabricy things, and I affixed pieces of velcro to the edges so I can roll them up to let light in in a less ghetto way than un/re duct taping the trash bags.

I'll have you all know that the table in question is located in Shark Manor.

Was there ever any doubt?

Board porn pictures to follow...

So who kept the US in the permanent state of war since 1945?

Libs?

:roflmao:

The whole thing is hilarious.

Biden is a neocon, he will take us to war!

Biden didn't take us to war, he's weak!

Biden is a weak neocon!

:foreheadslap:

I'm old enough to remember the Old Right and they were no peaceniks.
Until around 1970, it was Democrats.

Truman, Kennedy, Johnson

I've been preaching the anti-war mantra here since what, 2008?

Said the only good thing about Trump was his supposed isolationist stance and attitude toward NATO.

Been ridiculed here for being a dove, told my anti-interventionist worldview is not realistic, etc, etc by your team.

Argued with your buds ad nauseum over why we shouldn't get involved in multiple skirmishes.
Don't confuse being anti-interventionist with being a disrespectful, narcissistic toddler.

That's interesting, considering the fact when they were politically influential was before you were even born. :roflmao:

By the 1960s the neocon philosophies of people like Irving Kristol had begun to trickle in, eventually these ideas became mainstream..

Interestingly...the foundation of this philosophy was the USA should attack the Soviet Union using human rights as the cause for war.

BTW, neoconservativism IS our foreign policy here in the USA, it doesn't matter what party.
Please, Barry Goldwater advocated nuking Vietnam to ensure US victory during his presidential campaign.

It only so happened that he didn't win that election.

The Right never saw a war the didn't like.

Suddenly, in 2016 the righties got their firmware upgraded to 2.0 and now they're hippies..

I wish you could/would flesh this thought out some more.
Many wars that US have been involved either alone, or through NATO, started because the West rushed to recognize independence of a country which was not ready to be independent YET.
Much deliberation and negotiation was needed before any of it.

The complex ethnic, historic, cultural and religious issues always get pushed to the side, in favor of the simplistic thinking that any group in any region that seeks independence, should be granted independence right away.

Bosnia is the prime example of a new country that wasn't ready.
All that suffering and death could have been avoided if the West didn't recognize its independence right away and instead went to the negotiating table with all three ethnic groups involved first.

The naivety of invading Iraq and expecting to be showered with roses as liberators.
Then getting offended that we didn't and suddenly discovering that Sunni Arabs, Shiite Arabs, Sunni Kurds, Assyrians, Yazidis and Turkmen exist.

Kosovo was/is a disaster.

I could go on but I think you get the point.

Vojvodina je Magyarorszag!

And there should be a Kurdistan. Between Ayatollah assface, Erdogan, Assad, the Royal Family scumbags in Saudi Arabia/Kuwait, and the potatoes who keep electing Netanyahu, they are probably more ready than most tbh fam.

But I think your point is, listening to us talk about Kurdistan, the Hmong, Uighers, etc. is like listening to you talk about the First and Second Amendments?

Holy sh!t that must be annoying! You have the patience of a SAINT!

What a looser.
Too bad Goldwater wasn't a part of the Old Right.:trout:

Plenty of the right has despised war, in modern times however they couldn't win an election (still won't).

They were relegated to running on alternative party tickets, the Ron Paul campaign, The American Conservative Magazine, and Justin Raimundo's AntiWar.com

Suddenly, in 2016 the righties got their firmware upgraded to 2.0 and now they're hippies..
Some maybe.

The right is in total disarray, just like the left.

Access to information, and disinformation, is the cause of this.

Those who share our general philosophy on this topic - essentially what test_article has labeled "punk rock delusions" - will never be elected to public office.

Fix problems by making problems to fix.

That is US foreign policy in a nutshell.
