prolly staying local; gameplan is to assess it thur nite and decide whether i
want size or quality.
:applause2:

re OBX i'd be concerned this one might overpower it...
NS a good idea but....oh so....far away.

also this one came out of the gates looking like an "XXL."
now it seems more like an "L" or "XL."

wish i could head up north but it's a 6+ hour drive to just get to SJ, not trying to add an extra 6 hours of driving each way.

don't know where you are but there's a couple of days of good surf coming for everyone - you can chase it north as needed. i'm fine with L/XL....our beaches don't hold XXL too well anyway. i prefer something with an exit strategy :waving:

i'm in south Atlantic county. XXL can wash us out too but Jersey holds the
"M" and "L" better than most....and if its "XXL" theres always shook.

Get into any of the lake action? Leave now and head to NS, get the entire swell.
lakes aren't worth the two hour drive for at best waist high slop.
NS would be crazy, 20 hours. might as well continue on and take a ferry to newfoundland
I'm going to have to bring some wetsuits back from nj with me

For that matter, jump on plane to Ireland/Europe.

this thing is looking pretty damn solid, I just happened to take a vacation to the east coast, the stock is real

didn't bring any boards but managed to borrow one from a friend, but looks like I may be undergunned with the current track. Not a problem i was expecting when visiting the east coast but one i'm happy to have

As long as you are not surfing the points/reef up north you will be fine with a standard shortboard.

this swell might not over-power OBX.
could be worth it.
or not due wind/tide/copious amounts of swell.
VaBeach?
