My parents blueberry patch is going off this year. Me and my lady have picked about 50lbs already. Considering buying another chest freezer because my small one is already half full. Got a big dehydrator on order to play around with this fall. I wanna dry some blues, apples, mushrooms, etc.

My blueberry bushes are growing well, but the lack of a cold winter means few, very few berries this year :(

On the other hand, the two "tame" blackberries are doing great. They are 'tame' in the sense they are improved varietals that fruit on first year canes and have maybe 20 fewer thorns per inch than regular wild blackberries.

A cold damp summer has thrashed the cherry tomatoes (fungus on the leaves) and only now are the pole beans (plant in April) starting to bear. Basil equally slow, but the culinary sage is going gangbusters (almost a shame a little sage goes far).

Coupla Jelly Ranchers...from feminized seed, 6x6, soon to be 8x8...and with a little friend to watch over...

Those are some big trellis/stakes. Can you let us in on your anti bug munch strategy is?
Too much for 'em to eat..nah, actually we don't have too many problems with bugs...we don't trap the yellow jackets, just sorta tolerate them, they eat bugs. When the plants are healthy like this that helps too. We'll probably use the electro static sprayer to put some Lost Coast Plant Therapy on there at some point...that's good for bugs and powdery mildew.

Experiment with energy conducted in the garden this year. Clearly not a scientific setting, nor a scientist. But ... draw your own conclusions:

Four plants, all same seed from same mother plant. Same soil, nutrients, etc...

One given foul language, anger, general negativity at every watering, the other three respect, love and positivity....

Can you see the difference?

This mornings harvest. Build up that soil and the rest is easy.
love the rainbow carrots but mine turned out quite fibrous - possibly i left them in the ground too long?

it's possible but tbh I find the rainbow carrots to be generally less delicious than a good Nantes hybrid. in my experience growing the rainbow carrots they have been more fibrous and less sweet. more suited to cooking than eating raw.
