Want to go on a family trip to Mexico in June. Want to go somewhere not too busy where there are small houses to rent and not hotels.

Thinking Saladita; wave looks chill enough that our daughter would be stoked. My son and I like longboarding enough, but would probably be more stoked with better waves.

Anywhere else that we should think of?

We've done Sayulita; fun but too busy.

Thanks.

What about Troncones?
Worse. People that stay there generally go to the salada or here.

I’m reaching out to a friend that knows people there

Did I get that rite?

We’ll see what she says.

How much are you looking at spending? Transportation?

Btw, have spoken to a few very good longboarders (and longboard shapers) recently who LOVE
Saladita. Not sure how it translates to smaller boards, but...yeah.

It doesn’t. Maybe a big fat fish but otherwise meh. The ligit shortboard places north of town are the Ixpata jetties, playa linda (sometimes), here, and peta.

You’re right, my buddies place is pimped.

Best to you and the fellas!

I'll check all that out, thanks! Looking for a house for sure; kids are 18 and 20 years old. Probably a 2 bedroom....? I've had friends that have had a ton of fun at Saladita on fishes, but we'll see.

We'll get a car, but really, really want to be able to walk to surf.

ElOrgo, where is "here"?

When I know how much you wanna spend the better I can do for you. There’s a couple of places out here for rent but I can’t honestly recommend any of them for various reasons.

Last time we went I met a guy riding an Album Doom at the point. Didn't seem to be a hinderance at all. I tend to stick to the longboard there but one year I took out a now gone 6'8" CB ewing speed egg at the point and had a blast. Also on that trip took said CB to a river mouth a bit south of there and :ban:. The swell was pretty 'macking' tho.

Def. worth making the trip to elogro zone for at least one session. It might make you want to go back for more.

Such a knice lil area. Pretty. Lots of good stuff to eat, great weather, fun old guy waves. Don't go looking for hookers and blow in zihuat. Or maybe ask Surfy Shrek before you do.

Okay, thanks. So it sounds like better waves in your zone, but nothing to rent?

"playa linda (sometimes), here, and peta. "

Should we look in the above areas?

So, what is this place, above? Sounds pretty good.

I think we're looking like $250/night or less....?

Thanks.
I’ll check into it if you want, call the guy, it was recommended by a friend.

There’s three places here, I don’t know what they charge. There’s a place to eat here in the morning, after that, nada. Maybe afoaf will chime in on what there is to do after surf and breakfast. Book —> hammock. You’re also 15 minutes by dirt road to the closest store and there isn’t much there. You’re welcome to come by here for hammock time, lunch, etc. But overall I think you’re gonna be more comfortable at the salada.

It’s hot as fvck here in June. Seriously hot. Fvckin hot.

Barrio (playa linda) and peta are gonna be too ethnic for your ginger ass.

I’m still looking, those were the first things that people got back to me on.
