Wealth will naturally migrate to the few.

At a certain point, this creates social unrest.

You can't get rid of this but it seems smart to try to manage this natural pattern for both rich and poor.

Or you let nature take its course.

It's like Hannibal said, "What is the first and principal thing he does, what need does he serve by killing? He covets. How do we begin to covet? We begin by coveting what we see every day.”

Pity the fool whose wealth is on display, like skin. They have their reward.

Are you dingalings resurrecting Trickle Down Economics because Racism is losing it's luster?
You might be on to something. Democrats have to keep people divided at all times by one means or another. Now they've moved on to "Blame The Rich".

How about this, we significantly reduce the size and reach of the government so it doesn't have to siphon as much money out of the hands of the people.

At the end of the day, every dime of money the government spends/wastes comes out of the pockets of the working class people. There is no getting around it. Any taxes on corporations or the wealthy are simply passed through to those who can't pass that cost on to anyone else in the form of higher prices on goods and services.

The only way to even things out is to reduce the size of government and sadly the leviathan has gotten so big and powerful now that there is no way to tame it.

Slack off folks. $1400/person on its way soon for some trickle up. I think economists may have figured out how to print all the money we could want with none of the inflation that used to ruin it for everyone. They can hardly believe the good fortune this discovery means. Universal Basic Income here we come. Income equality here we come.

Illegals will be the only labor we can afford...and they won't come cheap!

Hal is a petulant child. I don't dispute that Republicans have increased spending as have Democrats. They both spend like drunken sailors just on different things. How about we stop spending like drunken sailors? This isn't a party issue, its a doing what's right issue.

so how would you propose to cut spending?

maybe the federal government could begin by going all paperless and printer-less.
