Economic Impact Payment Card. Comes from some strange bank in Georgia. I gotta tell you, my wife and I were and still are a bit leary about it. Seems legit though. the doughs there on the debit card and the total adds up to what we thought we'd get.
For 2019 I used turbo tax software for the first time ever. Which is why I think I got this debit card. Prior years I used a CPA and it went direct deposit to our account. We have friends in the same town who's went direct deposit.
I kinda want to spend the money fast in case it is a scam....

I received mine a little over a week ago via DD which I have set up through the IRS for tax refunds in the past. I put half in savings and used the other half to pay off my CC balance that month. Super fun.

yeah... turns out you lived too long. heard they stopped recognizing the old 7 digit socials first of the year.Got the first check, way back when. Tried the new, "where my $$$" app that is up and the prompt kept coming back telling me that my SS# wasn't valid.

I got a credit card in the mail. Set up my account and bam, $0.50 instantly taken from the bank and an email that said my email changed, so I withdrew $580. So now it's like one of those sucky gift cards where you gotta buy a pack of gum and 2 sticks of deodorant and still give up a pocket full of change. It used to be that you could over-max them at the gas station but I think you need like $50 balance for it to even register now at the pump. I don't really need it and only qualify because of my taxes like a lot of people so it's pretty stupid. Free IRA contribution.
Could really use this stimulus thing at this point, after six weeks forced out of work and the whole six weeks with no response from edd (stupid id.me verification thing is buggy crap, and stuck on emailing me "we'll get to you one day")

Way back in college, an older friend of mine told me three things that have stuck with me in life.I haven't got a rent check from my tenants in 10 months.
