I purchased a board, and when I received it I notice that the fins are closer together.

wanted to know if I’m paranoid and it’s normal and won’t give me any problem or it is a problem.

I feel like the shaper didn’t put a lot of effort on my board, looks pretty asymmetrical

the black board is mine added another picture of the same model for reference

The boxes' distance from the rails look the same to me with a measuring tape held up to the screen, but obviously that's not too accurate. +1 for redtodd's recommendation.

Maybe its the black board, maybe its the angle, but the bigger difference looks like there's no hip in the rail compared to the other images of that board online. Usually it looks more pronounced; could create the illusion that the fin placement is off.

Lol

it’s one board the other is an example,
And the measurement of the fins seem abit asymmetrical,
Also I feel like they’re closer to the center than what it’s supposed to be.

just wanna make sure it’s ok?

give the kook a break

Ok with who? Only way to know for sure is to ride her and then post results.

I’ve had boars with fin placement discrepancies that were measurable and noticeable. 1/4”+ off. Lotta board manufacturers think we are FireWire riding adult learners so it won’t make a difference. Unacceptable. If it’s off contact the maker. Could be a makesmanship issue
