The jist was teachers shouldn't force students to write with (white) standard English.
My impulse was to say nothing.
But in the nicest way I said, even the white kids struggle with written "white" English.
Some of my best writers using standard English have been black kids.
Going SJW in a capricious manner in the academy is one of the variables that got us Trump.
I haven't heard back yet.
