I used to be confused how anyone didn’t wear board short liners. Then I started putting sun screen where it hurt. Toughens the skin and acts as lube for the wax, too.
Problem solved.

I do this same thing with arm pit rash.I used to be confused how anyone didn’t wear board short liners. Then I started putting sun screen where it hurt. Toughens the skin and acts as lube for the wax, too.

Took me randomly comparing the ingredients of burn cream and sun screen to realize zinc oxide can do a lot.I do this same thing with arm pit rash.
The face stick stuff with roughly 20% zinc oxide seems to work best, in my experience.
Isn't it amazing how the bitches always choose the worst surf photos to blow up?The kooky Cloudbreak photo in the background was from 2003. It was one of those deals where the wife picked the absolute lamest shot to get blown up out of probably 50 much better slides as part of a wedding anniversary gift (we got engaged on Tavarua on this trip) a few years ago. My daughter likes it so it stays in her room.
I was comparing my kids butt rash cream to sunscreen when the lightbulb went on.Took me randomly comparing the ingredients of burn cream and sun screen to realize zinc oxide can do a lot.

I have a pair of patagoon trunks I bought in 1989 that I still use.Patagonia boardshorts

AM Large fronts
Stretch CFT Construction
SuperFlex Construction
arm and hammer stuff works great too. lifesaver in tropical climates.
I had a 4 year old pair that ripped when I fell on my fins. Took them to the Patagonia store and they told me to choose a new pair. I had always heard about their warranty, but that was awesome.I have a pair of patagoon trunks I bought in 1989 that I still use.
yupppp i have a pair in a horrendous bright green color that is 6+ years old, will never get rid of themThese were INCREDIBLE. I have a surf buddy who has two pairs left. He brings them on surf trips and doesn't bust them out until the 3rd or 4th day when the rash is starting up.
I've actually found that zinc oxide works better. Specifically the formulation in face sticks because they last longer on the skin. YMMV.
