Motivated reasoning is a trip.

"When you say "I m stupid," it proves I am smart" is a dubious argument.

I say, "Maybe."

Or maybe you are stupid?

I think it's stress biasing cognition negatively.

This is a stressful time.

Life is hard even when it's easy.

I got a test this AM. That stick is so long felt like they were taking a brain sample. I've never had something go into my nose and trigger a gag reflex.

The poz guy is back. I’m laying low for a while. I’m guessing more cases after this 4th of July weekend

There's a fetish website for that

There pretty much has to be any kind of adjective/adverb/dangling participle/future imperfect conjunctive/transitive verb/etc porn out there.

"Mythological circus creature + tall green eyes + physics chemistry engineering + alpine meadow + porn" for the win!

:p

I had cyst on my tounge and I went to an ENT. He says let look at your throat. We got to go through your nose.

So he stuck the scope up my nose and went down my throat.

It was like I was getting raped.

My half brother's father got really sick in, I think it was March. The docs said he had pneumonia but wouldn't give him a covid test because he hadn't been to China or had had contact with a covid positive person. He had been traveling for work though so he probably got it outside of the country, maybe Italy. He just got the antibody test a week ago and it came back positive. He's 66 and he eats well, exercises, no health issues. He said it was way worse than any flu or cold he's ever had and that even now almost four months on he still doesn't feel 100%.

Man i still don’t think it’s crazy to think I had it in January. I’ve never been so sick. For so long

anyway I got the email today. I’ve been in contact with someone who tested positive on the 30th. I know i was being a little bitch that day because I had been in a room with someone who tested positive the week before and he was coughing all day. I had minimal contact with people the 30th. So, really not so worried about the 30th but I’m pissed and am worried about the future.

the hammer and the dance. Not going to be easy, and many more will die over the next year or two, but mitigation and common sense go a long way, i wish you all good luck and good health. It's also morbidly fascinating to witness this all unfold. Imagine if the modern news cycle and social media existed in 1918-1919. Holy sh!t, that could very well have brought about a true apocalypse. talk about gasoline on fire.

this is why stats about the death rate are of no comfort whatsoever.

I hope you don't ever need to get checked for bladder cancer.
I had really gnarly bladder surgery when I was 8.

Post surgery, I had a catheter in me and tube going into my bladder and they shot me with dye and I'm on an x-ray table. And I am crying and they are telling me to try to go pee.

It was gnarly.

Fuck it we’ll all be exposed at some point. It’s been more than 2 weeks since I was with the coughing guy.

is it doable to wear p100 half mask all day?

Yes, it's what I've been wearing when I go into the office occasionally for a day. It sucks, and is hot, but hey....

Yes, it is. Ask me how I know.

However, a P100 respirator protects the wearer, but minimally protects others. It deflects exhaust downward, rather than forward, and will buffer a cough or sneeze, but it only filters the intake.
