Why do you think it's snot for me?
Just based on boards we've both ridden. I think we like different rockers.

I really liked the psyko and the hydronaut. I get the impression you didn't like those boards.

Is there a Tomo shape you have liked?

I also get the impression you don't really care for XTR builds.

Could be wrong, but that's my sense and if it's correct, you getting a GMM2 seems like a recipe for disappointment.

I liked the Hydronaut in bigger, hollow surf where I wasn't planning to turn. Otherwise, no.

Psyko was good in bigger waves, I just prefer a more traditional outline in those conditions.

Vader was insane.

They're great builds, tech wise.

But the scrubbing QC has been rather disappointing.

The fins being set in different places on oeste's boards, for whatever reason, don't exactly give me hope.

It's possible that's why it was a stock board. Most of their stock boards are ones what didn't pass QC or differ from the custom order is some small way (wrong color, etc.). It surfs great, just a different feel than the other.

Lets see that clip of you JKB at the pier. I tried to go back in the Tomo thread and it wouldnt allow me. Those 2 turns were zippy bangers and really showed how fast and tight that board can move. #postitup @jkb
Well, jeez. I mean......ok, twist my arm.

(Hey Deforest, did you get that $20 I sent you via PayPal for writing this post? Ok, good.)

Fair enough.

Wish there was a way you could take mine out for a spin.

I'll be in San Clemente for a week around 4th of July.

We need a new clip of jkb riding that board at pleasure point.
That wave is so deceiving. I've only surfed it a few times so take what I say with a grain of salt, but each time it looked like it was firing. I paddle out on a hpsb and bog every wave.

You make a good point though.......GMM2 might make that wave a lot more fun.

GMM2 is perfect for the hook (and some others).

That wave looks about 2-3ft wave too?

What are the dims on your GMM2? I'd like to give it a spin when you're down here if you're open to it. I have a few boards you could try as well.

Yeah, you can absolutely try it.

It's 5'1 x 18.5 x 2 1/8

Would you change any of the dims or you like that one?

I was thinking 5'0 x 18 x 2 1/4? What do you think?
I like the dims on mine now. I might consider going a tiny bit longer on the next one to accommodate some of the waves around here, but short is definitely fine for NCSD.

For you, I'd consider going 5'0 x 18 1/4 and whatever thickness to get you to your desired volume.
