Fauci is the guy who said AIDS was going to infect everyone at equal rates as gay men and iv drug users.

I’m guessing it’ll happen in 14 days.
He's doing it again by saying "COVID doesn't discriminate." While this is technically true, the elderly are overwhelmingly dying of it. Those below 65 are recovering.

Seems like he just failed upward his whole life.

It's not "technically true", it's true.

He was talking about COVID infections, not deaths.

The infected people under 65, help kill people over 65.

It's not that hard to understand FFS.

You're the one who's failing in every COVID thread.

I think some are missing the forest for the trees

what does pearl harbor represent in the collective American memory?

the analogy isn't about the death toll, it's about a nation trauma-bonding
through a shared experience.

we can still argue about stupid stuff if that will make you guys feel better

Fair enough

But Pearl Harbor was in a different era and the responses to it made sense

This will be more like 911, where the responses didn't make as much sense and we become further divided from it

But as a shared trauma, sure

It's because of the leaders, not because it was different times.

We had neocons lead us into two unnecessary wars at the time when the US was united more than ever.

Now we have Trump.

Neither could even carry a jockstrap for FDR.

It's always the leaders who sow division for personal gain who miss these opportunities when people should stay united.

Are you trying to say the Chinese killed as many in 3 days than the Japanese killed in 3 hours?

I guess an Asian is an Asian, no matter how it's done, right?

I knew the Japanese were more efficient.
