It's an absolute shame that a place like the Big Sur South Coast, which has always been a place of solitude, a place to escape modern life, is now one of the first locations that this disease is likely to hit.

Because of unrestricted Tourism.

The "official" figures coming out of China are suspect.

The WHO just was invited in to assess the situation in China. 17 members total. What we have been hearing and what is really the truth are going to be two vastly different numbers.

A couple of weeks ago I read a report from a source in China that said there were 150,000 known cases and 9,000 reported deaths.

This is Socialism/Communism at work.

When the truth is taken out of the hands of the people and the State steps in to take care of you and control everything.

1 Just got over a head cold....could have been caused by a few of the existing corona viruses that give people runny noses and slight fever and headaches, or could have been this the new one, or maybe it was influenza that my immune system fought and stopped from getting terrible. Will never know since I didn't bother going in to get tested.

2 Riding BART this time of year means I never touch anything in the train or in the subway, or at least I try really hard not to. Wash hands/face once I get to work (and home).

3 Official numbers are always just a baseline. Everyone knows there are people who are infected but never get a confirmation. But the thing is, the baseline is verifiable, everything else is.....well, a statistical estimate at best, weirdo freakazoid paranoia fear mongering TEOTWAWKI story telling at worst.

4 When China goes quiet, then we know it is way more horrible than we knew or imagined. This is when I can fire up the chainsaw, cut through the basement wall into the neighbor's basement wall, quietly render their possible contagion moot and now I have doubled my living space and food store. :devilish:

The a.m. of 9/11, I had to teach a lab at 8:00-11:00. When we finished, the school cancelled all the classes the rest of the day.

Whatever the Bureau of Propaganda says....it has to be real...with so much invested into this system,

and the further one goes along with their "story" line, the option of questioning anything they say, or do

becomes more and more difficult.

Calculating all the implications of critically questioning just one of this systems so-called real events,

might lead one to begin to question other so-called events that this system has purported to be fact...

and this is what you dare not do....too much "invested"....too much to lose...too much fear involved.
